What this is
An unofficial fan companion for the Mundial de Tango — Tango de Pista, Tango Escenario and Senior. It is not affiliated with Tango BA or the Mundial de Baile. All data comes from the official scoresheets published by Tango BA — every table links back to its source PDF.
How scoring works
A panel of judges marks each couple; the panel changes from stage to stage and from block to block, and its members are listed on the Judges page. In 2026 the highest and lowest marks are dropped and the average uses the middle three; in 2024–25 the average used all marks. Each block advances the couples above its own cutoff — there is no global ranking, because blocks have different judges and rounds.
About countries
Tango BA printed the country of representation only on the 2024 semifinal scoresheet. Country labels therefore appear only for 2024 semifinalists, exactly as printed; a few cells were blank in the source.
About the projections
“How far do couples like this go?” compares a 2026 couple with 2024–25 couples that held a similar qualifying position, and reports what happened to them. It is a historical base rate, not a prediction of the champion.
